Olympic Medals
I've got it!!! I know where all those unwanted AOL CDs have gone. Sure, they start in the trash but the IOC has recycled them, slathered them with layers of gold, silver, or bronze, and is handing them out at the Olympics.

Maybe it's the Winter Olympics or something but the medals this year look like cheap, layered CDs and the CDs probably have the Sony rootkit burned on them. The last Winter Olympics - Salt Lake City - the medals looked like unfinished lumps, not quite circles, and rather bulky.

IOC: The medals should be round, super-shiny, and intact. No holes in the middle to distract the eye. Stop trying to make artistic statements or hiring out to the cheapest artiste du jour.

No Bush Bashing
I wanted to see if I could blog regularly and not bash Bush and I did it! Though I do have this to say about the whole Ports Authority brouhaha: This is America - everything's for sale, remember? A couple of decades ago the Japanese came in and bought out most everything. We went through a period of anti-Japanese hysteria and though they ultimately lost scads of money, the missed point wasn't that they bought so much, it was that we sold so much.

So before screaming about how the A-rabs are taking over our ports, look at how they got to buy the ports in the first place. We sold them to someone "trusted" who sold them to the Arabs. It's just business, remember?
