Success and Right
The elections in Iraq were arguably successful but does that mean the invasion was right? Does success at an endeavour automatically mean that the endeavour was right to undertake? Conversely does failure mean wrong? With the Bush Adminstration it sures seems that the answer is "Yes - success means right" particularly when applied to Iraq. It's more of their "ends justifies the means" mentality combined with their dangerous inability to admit failure or wrongdoings. As Bush surrounds himself further with toadies he will make himself appear absolutely unwavering in his correctness and correct in his inflexibility. His Will be done in the U.S. as He thinks it's done in Heaven.

Social Security and Government
The questions are very simple: Should the U.S. Government take care of its citizens? Does it have a duty to house, feed, clothe, or provide medical assistance to its citizens unable to obtain such? Should it help the poor, the infirm, the elderly?

If you ansered yes to any of the questions you've justified Welfare, Social Security, and a host of other Government programs designed to aide our countrymen.

If you answered no to all of the questions you've dramatically reduced our Government, eliminated the so-call Social Security crisis, laid off thousands of workers, and put the onus of daily survival back on to the Person and to charities.

Really, why should there be a gray area? Either we want our Government to help us or we don't. Mind you, if we voted on it likely the result would be half the country for help and the other half against. But why not try somethinig like - if you voted for it, you get it but you have to contribute for it. If you don't vote for Government help then you are entitle to nothing ever. Just a thought.

If Bush's plan to destroy Social Security goes through consider that the number of people needing charity will likely increase. Goody, then Bush can give even more of our money to his pet Faith-based charities to go along with the Financial institutions who will make out like bandits (!) if Bush's plans go through.
